Healing Balm

Healing Balm soothes inflammations such a eczema, psoriasis, bug bites, burns, and skin so dry it cracks.

Instructions for use:

Apply a small amount to affected area as often as needed. A little goes a long way.

About the ingredients:

Aloe Vera

contains over 75 nutrients as well as vitamins, minerals and fatty acids. It is commonly used to calm itchiness and to treat sunburn and rashes. Healing Balm is 40% Aloe Vera; no water.

Hemp Seed Oil

"is manufactured from varieties of Cannabis sativa that do not contain significant amounts of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the psychoactive element present in the cannabis plant. This manufacturing process typically includes cleaning the seed to 99.99% before pressing the oil. There is no THC within the hempseed, although trace amounts of THC may be found in hempseed oil when plant matter adheres to the seed surface during manufacturing. The modern production of hempseed oil, particularly in Canada, has successfully lowered THC values since 1998.[8] Regular accredited sampling of THC in Canadian hemp seed oil shows THC levels usually below detection limit of 4 ppm (parts per million, or 4 mg/kg)." With that out of way...
Hemp Seed Oil is rich in antioxidants (Vitamin E) and carotene (precursor to Vitamin A), and Omega-6 and Omega-3 fatty acids which make it an excellent treatment for itchy, inflamed skin due to eczema or psoriasis.

Tea Tree Essential Oil

is anti-oxidant, antiseptic, and anti-fungal. It aids in healing and prevention of infection.

Patchouli Essential Oil

is anti-inflammatory. It soothes inflammation and itchiness.

Shea Butter

is exceptionally high in non-saponifiables. The saponifiable fraction of the an oil can be turned into soap. The non-saponifiable fraction of the oil contains the healing properties. Additionally shea butter is very moisturizing and is non-comedogenic. ie. it doesn't clog pores.

Vitamin E

, also known as tocopherol, is a powerful anti-oxidant. It's primary role in Healing Balm is to extend the shelf life of more delicate oils such as Hemp Seed.

Jojoba Oil

is not, in fact, an oil but a wax ester extracted from a shrub. Jojoba oil mimics the natural sebum that is produced in our skin so it is hypo-allergenic and it promotes penetration of other ingredients into the skin.

Vegetable Glycerin

when applied to the skin, signals the cells to mature in normal fashion. Psoriasis is a skin disease in which the skin cells shed too quickly, before they are properly mature, causing thickened, scaly skin. The application of glycerin can interrupt this abnormal process, allowing the cells to reach full maturation before shedding. (from the Journal of Investigative Dermatology Dec 2003)
